Brown Mountain Beach Resort
This place is nothing short of magical! My (now) husband and I got married here over Memorial Day weekend and it truly was the best weekend of our lives! The venue itself is stunning, but the staff are what makes this place so special. Everyone is so welcoming; it is evident how much they all truly care about the couples getting married and getting to know them. For example, the one thing I really wanted on our wedding day was to get married outside, but our weekend was filled with multiple days of steady rain (the heaviest rain they had in a while). However, the BMBR staff came through and pulled off some magic; the rain let up 10 minutes before the ceremony and the staff was already out there wiping chairs for guests and digging channels in the sand to drain water off the beach. I’ve never seen a team rally together like this and wow, did it make us feel so loved. This is only one example of the many ways they went above and beyond for us during our 4 days there.
The owners, Kelsey and Jeremy, are so so lovely; they work hard alongside their staff and made us feel so at home.
Leah was our planner; she is incredibly talented at what she does and made me feel much more like a friend than a client. She was the perfect person so keep us calm and organized on our wedding day. I couldn’t recommend her enough.
Our guests are still talking about how much they loved our wedding weekend, even claiming it was “the best and most unique” wedding they’ve ever attended. All of the food was incredible and the cabins/yurts are lovely. Keep in mind – our guests loved this place this much even with the less than ideal forecast.
I couldn’t recommend a better place to visit or spend your wedding weekend. There aren’t enough words to describe how magical this place is and we cannot wait to return. If you are considering having your wedding here, don’t hesitate because it is so worth it!

I was a part of a wedding at Brown Mountain Beach Resort & I have to say, this place blew me away. After hearing what they went through with the hurricane last year, I honestly couldn’t picture how everything would look. But being there in person… unreal. The property is gorgeous, the views are something else, and from a guest’s perspective, it felt like everyone was part of one big family. The staff went above and beyond and made everyone, even the vendors, feel completely at home. That kind of hospitality is rare in the wedding industry, and I’m really grateful I got to be part of it. Can’t wait to go back!

Brown Mountain Beach Resort was wonderful! My wife and I stayed for two nights in the Firefly cabin, and it was everything we needed. We were able to unplug, and soak in every minute of relaxation. The service was phenomenal! Staff came by our first night to double check if we needed anything, which I really appreciated! The café was also a nice touch. They even offer kayaks, paddle boards, floating docks and tubes for anyone to use at the creek! We will certainly be back, I simply cannot overstate how wonderful this experience was for us!

It’s hard to put into words what makes Brown Mountain Beach Resort so special, because it’s so much more than a beautiful place to have a wedding.
We brought 87 of our favorite people together at BMBR for several days, and the thing we heard over and over again was how incredible it felt to simply be there together. By the end, people were already talking about coming back every year. Before the wedding, I think a few guests were a little skeptical about spending several days at a “campground” in the mountains. That disappeared almost immediately.
There is something magical about life on the creek. People slowed down. They sat on porches, floated in the water, wandered between cabins, shared meals, laughed, talked, and spent real, unhurried time together. Phones seemed to matter a little less. Time seemed to move a little slower.
Our wedding itself was beautiful, but what I will remember just as much are all of those moments surrounding it. In a life where everyone is busy and scattered, having so many people we love together in one place, genuinely connecting with each other, felt incredibly rare.
Kelsey and the entire BMBR team understand that what they are creating is bigger than an event venue. They care deeply about the people who come there, and you feel that in every part of the experience.
If you’re considering BMBR and wondering whether your guests will embrace the experience, let them. Give everyone permission to slow down for a few days. There aren’t many opportunities in life to gather your people together like this.

Best family vacation ever! The cabins were perfect and the view of the creek was peaceful and healing! All cabins had a hot tub and fire pit with free wood! My grandkids loved the farm animals that they fed twice a day! The creek was so enjoyable! They provided tubes, kayaks, canoes and paddle boards free of charge! The staff were super friendly and accommodating! Thank you Jeremy, Kelsey, Lexi, Riley and Christie for your extravagant hospitality!! We will be back again and again!!

We had the most incredible stay at Brown Mountain Beach! From the moment we arrived, everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and they truly made our experience one to remember.
The yurt we stayed in was clean, cozy, and such a unique experience. We also got to see so many animals during our stay, which made it even more special. But I think everyone’s favorite was Nacho Beans! Waking up every morning, hopping in the golf cart, and going to feed him quickly became one of the highlights of our trip. He was seriously such a dream and definitely stole our hearts.
Between the beautiful surroundings, the animals, the peaceful atmosphere, and the wonderful people, this was the kind of getaway you don’t want to end.
I can’t thank everyone at Brown Mountain Beach enough for giving us such an amazing experience and memories that we’ll always cherish. We had the best time and already can’t wait to come back!

Brown Mountain Beach Resort was the perfect choice for our wedding venue! The setting was absolutely stunning, and I only wish we could have stayed longer. We had the entire venue from Thursday to Sunday exclusively for our family and friends and that allowed us to truly relax and cherish every moment together.

We had my son’s wedding at BMBR and it was beautiful! The staff was so helpful and did everything possible to make the wedding memorable. It’s really hard to put into words the wonder and magic that is Brown Mountain Beach Resort. My partner and I found BMBR through a wedding planner that we had reached out to in the early stages of planning. We live in Asheville, but many of our guests would be coming in from out of town and we wanted to be able to host as many of them onsite as possible. We were looking at summer camp venues but couldn’t imagine sticking our 90+ year old grandmas into bunk beds for the weekend. BMBR was the perfect solution, a better option than we even knew we could imagine.
An unbelievably beautiful property with a mix of some private housing with doors that close for the elders was great, and then we had fun jamming big groups of our friends into the bigger yurts. Hot tubs everywhere! Llamas to hang out with! Tubing, swimming, and movies on the beach!
Kelsey and her team are amazing. I have no idea how they get it all done, but they make it look effortless. Also, there were about 17 kids at the wedding and they were so kid-friendly, with even some onsite babysitting options that my friends and family took advantage of.
What a gift they give to let us share in their little slice of heaven. I would choose this venue again and again and again.

We LOVE BMBR! There is nothing like disconnecting from the modern world and enjoying time with family and dear friends and there’s NO place better than here! We have celebrated my wife’s birthday the last two years here and it just keeps getting better! Every cottage is well appointed with great new upgrades and the yurts are amazing as well! You can fish from your porch, watch bald eagles or canoe the day away. If you must have WiFi it works well at the main lodge. Pet friendly and our dogs love it there as well!! Can’t wait to return!

We stayed the week of Thanksgiving as a family. The property is gorgeous!
My husband fished on Wilson Creek, the kids petted the animals, we enjoyed the hot tub, went on a hike in Pisgah National Forest, enjoyed family movie night at the main event hall, played board games in our cabin, had yummy food at their restaurant (the milkshakes, breakfast sandwiches, and coffee are so yum), and much more!
The resort has a special charm and the owners Kelsey and Jeremy are a loving, giving, and down-to-earth family! We highly recommend BMBR and look forward to our next trip!! Thanks Kelsey and Jeremy for being so awesome to us!

When I saw this venue, I knew nothing else would do for our wedding. I’m Pacific Northwest raised and family would be traveling into town from both sides. This venue and the experience it gives is nothing short of a full family reunion/vacation.
It’s amazing how the venue transforms for each wedding. I’m constantly seeing how weddings before us and after us have come to life and not a single one is the same. Example we had a line dancing instructor and beer Olympics, and a movie on the beach. No other wedding weekend is the exact same equation of things that we created and that is extremely special.
Each time I visited in preparation for the wedding or simply just because I love staying there, it looked different in the most beautiful ways. The greenery is always changing, the flowers peak out at spring, and during the holidays and at Christmas it’s nice and crisp and you can have a lovely fire (or a polar plunge!).
Our friends and family have not stopped raving about how amazing Brown Mountain Beach Resort was, the wedding was just the reason we gathered the BMBR creek & her people is really why we all loved it.

I had the opportunity to stay at BMBR for 2 nights on a mens get away. We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin with a kitchen, private hot tub and a fire pit. The cabin was right on the river and had a great view!
The truth is BMBR is a little slice of heaven and the experience will stay with me. I am very much looking forward to the next time I get the chance to visit it again.

We absolutely LOVED our stay here and are already talking about going back! We went to celebrate our second anniversary and stayed in a yurt. We were able to bring our dog as well and she loved all of the staff! The food was incredible, the creek is so relaxing, and I can’t say enough good things.
